About TLC
The Life Center Christian Fellowship is a church whose purpose is centered in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the timeless Scriptural standards prescribed in God’s Word---the Holy Bible. The flagship Scripture which resonates from our ministry name, The Life Center, is found in the gospel of John, chapter 1, verse 4:
“In Him (Jesus) was life, and the life was the light of men.”
It is the key statement, “In Him (Jesus)”, or in other words, in the CENTER of Jesus---or again, it is as we are consummately CENTERED in Jesus, that we find the true fulfillment of life. It is, perhaps, this very standard which separates culturally-acceptable, generationally-acquired Christianity from Biblically-centered Christianity. If our lives are not truly centered---to the best of our ability---in God’s Holy Word, then we will be subject to adapting our spiritual values to the trends of the day, the preferences which cater to our fleshly desires, or the pressures which cause us to gain or lose acceptability within our society.
At The Life Center, we would never assume that our church is “the center” of where spirituality happens in San Antonio. On the contrary, being a kingdom-minded ministry, it is our joy to know that there are many churches throughout our community which also celebrate the Lordship of Jesus Christ with uncompromising Scriptural standards. We often remind ourselves at TLC that there is essentially ONE church of Jesus Christ which happens to have many “living rooms” throughout the community and around the world. In light of that perspective, we continually celebrate and pray for our ‘friend churches’ around our community and beyond.
Besides the continual teaching and preaching of God’s great Word at TLC, we fervently engage in whole-hearted, Holy Spirit-filled, God-honoring praise and worship. For much more on that please refer to the “How We Worship” and “Why We Worship” segments of the website.
Our ministry is non-denominational and originally evolved from the roots of Assemblies of God denomination. For more about our beliefs, you may refer to the “Beliefs and Tenets of Faith” segment of our website. TLC is accountable ministerially to the umbrella organization World Ministry Fellowship of Dallas, Texas.
