Why We Worship

Why We Worship

We are called to worship God---not because we are “Christians”---but because we were created by God to worship Him. The Bible indicates that within the ‘dna’ of our humanity is the element of the inward call to worship God. Worshipping God is as crucial to our spirituality as air is crucial to our humanity.

The Word of God explains it this way: “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or prinicipalities or powers. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM.” (Colossians 1:16)

Also, Psalm 150:6 declares, “Let EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

So, why do we worship God? Not because it is simply a ‘good’ idea---but because it is undeniably a “God” idea.
